Chinese New Year
In keeping with Chinese tradition, the Made in Germany sneaker is adorned with special lucky symbols. A renminbi banknote is hidden in the Secret Pocket . There is also a lucky knot on the laces and the rat emblem on the tongue, which of course also promises good luck.
The CNY was kept in red/gold because in China - according to mythological imagination - these colours are used as a tool to drive away an annually returning man-eating monster.
The upper is made from a combination of pure calf velour and recycled PET materials.
