When the Coil RX was launched in 1986/87, it was still known as the Coil R2 and the specialist magazine "Running Time" wrote about its Dynacoil sole, which was co-developed by NASA: "This midsole is the closest thing to a flying mattress you will ever find in a running store." But it wasn't just the sole that impressed then and now. The upper of the great silhouette is also an absolute delight. The mix of a mesh base and suede overlays on the heel, eyestay and mudgurd give the Coil RX with its wedge-shaped profile the look of a running classic. The lining deserves special attention here, as it is made of smooth leather. The colour-contrasting heel tab is also made of smooth leather, while the EVA stabilizer on the heel provides lateral stability. In addition to the tried-and-tested DYNACOIL cushioning system, the Ortholite insole ensures a high level of comfort.
