KangaROOS x Mine Hero "Pawer"
Grubenhelden incorporates the fabric of original miners' clothing into its collections to a high standard and with great success. Production takes place under fair conditions in Portugal and Germany - the ideal Collabo partner for the KangaROOS BLACK collection Made in Germany.
The Pawer has a mint colored sole to pick up the color of the miners' bath slippers. The speckled midsole indicates the coal dust. The black leather parts symbolize the coal layers underground.
The light-coloured, so-called "ass leather" was used to protect the miners' trousers in the buttocks area, as much work was done sitting or lying down.
The inside of the sneaker consists of shirts of the miners. On an embossed heel you can see mallets and irons, the symbols of the mining industry.
The "1449" on the tongue symbolizes the year of birth of Georgius Agricola (Georg Bauer, known as "Pawer"), the founder of modern geology and mining science.
